A Intimate Elopment In Detroit, Michigan

Happy September!

Its been a pretty busy wedding season for B Posh Events! We have about 6 more weddings through October before our season comes to an end!

In the beginning of the summer, we announced that we would be adding elopement and officiant services. We also had a contest to familiarize everyone with what our elopements would look like.

Detroit & Michigan Wedding Officiants

You might wonder what a elopement wedding is. Well, it can be many things. If you google "What is a elopement wedding, you will find this explanation..." it is often referred to a marriage conducted in sudden and secretive fashion.

What I knew elopement weddings to be, were when two people decided to leave town and get married in another state like Las Vegas.

Well, there is a NEW way to elope, and you can elope in your own city! You can also create a personalized elopement that can capture a fun, romantic or adventurous day, all while having it captured on camera via a photographer, videographer or both!

Our new packages will allow our couples to have the Detroit Elopement Ceremony they have envisioned. Our Ordained Detroit Wedding Officiant, will be sure to approve whatever type of "I Do" you have you heart set on.

We wanted to wait for the videos, but we have just been too anxious and excited. So we are going to go ahead and post a few teaser pictures of our firstand second Detroit Elopement couples while we wait on the video.

The Cordell's

Ahhh!!! What a beautiful day it was! Saturday July 2, 2016 and the weather was perfect!!

I remember calling Jennifer and checking in on her. She sounded so happy and relaxed! I knew it was going to be a perfect day!

I dropped in on her at the hotel while Gen the hairstylist did her hair (IG: #hairlife) and her make up artist, Ashley Tolliver perfected her makeup. Things seemed to be running great so I ran over to the reception hall and completed all my set up's. I headed back over to the Troy Marriott, picked up Jennifer and her bestie and we headed over to Life Application Ministries in Warren, Michigan where her ceremony took place. Jen put on her gorgeous gown and prepared to walk down the aisle to her soon to be husband, Michael. Her beautiful gown from Brides by Demetrios in Troy fit her like a glove!!

The ceremony went off without a hitch!

After the ceremony. I hurried back over to the reception venue, Andiamos of Warren to be sure everything was going smooth. While there, I ran into the owner of Yasmeena's Floral, who perfected the florals and linens! It was gorgeous! Next to arrive was Vito's bakery , and I have to mention that the cake was delicious!

DJ Chuck DJ Detroit Entertainment had the music and up lighting looking and sounding great! My Touch Weddings was there to capture all this perfection on video and David Tutera Photography was camera ready!!

With all that being said, I introduce to you... Mr. & Mrs. Cordell!!!

Jennifer + Michael

We are super excited to help Jennifer and Michael (2 fellow MSU Alum's) down the aisle tomorrow! Did I say Go Green?!?!?!

Jen (as everyone calls her) and Mike met 7 years ago on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. They have a gorgeous little girl and on July 2, 2016 they will unite as husband and wife. They are the cutest couple and they compliment each other very well! We are excited to see how amazing their wedding day will come together!

Jerron + Lauren A Everlasting Love 6/14/14

I remember waking up this day saying to myself, "this is going to be a perfect day for Jerron & Lauren". The weather was perfect, all the vendors were on point, and Lauren was in a super calm mood.  I arrived at Regency Manor is Southfield to assist the linens and floral vendor. Everything looked great. I then set up the candy table, as directed by our bride. She was awesome because she had all the candy in their assigned dish, ready to go! After the cake arrived and flowers put in place, I headed over to join my assistant at the church, to prepare for their ceremony. When I reached  Triumph Church, I opened the doors to the sanctuary and it was gorgeous! Florals aligned the aisle, and the runner was already in placed, covered with fuchsia petals!

Our bridal party arrived on time, and now the guests were arriving as well. It was finally show time! As I helped get Lauren in place, I said "are you ready"? She said "I'm as ready as I'll ever be". I instructed the hostess to open the doors, and down the aisle she went!

I instructed my assistant to take over from here, and I jetted back to the reception hall for final touches.  It was a GREAT day!

Today marks their 2 year anniversary and I just want to say HAPPY Anniversary! In honor of this day, I present their amazing wedding preview captured by the talented Walter of Filmed By Grace.

Our "Elope in the D" Package Winners!!

Last month we announced a new elopement package that we are going to introduce. In celebrating this package, I teamed up with some amazing wedding professionals to bless one lucky couple with a intimate wedding ceremony in downtown Detroit. This package includes a event coordinator, officiant, videographer, photographer, professional make-up, a hair stylist,  bouquet, boutonnière, and a 1 tier cake. In order to enter, we asked for a email, sharing their love story and the reason why they think they deserve to win.

Well, one lucky couple tugged at our heartstrings with their story. We are excited to introduce:

Richard + Orabella

Love Story

B Posh: How did you guys meet?

Orabella: "We actually met on Myspace. We attended school together all our life, so I sent him a message asking him if here remembered me and he said no. My feelings were a little hurt, so I didn't inbox him back. However, he ended up messaging me several times, asking me how I was. At that time, he was stationed in California. He is in the Marines. So, from there he said once he returned home, he would like to take me out on a date. We spoke on the phone for hours, and hours until both our batteries on our phone died."

B Posh: " How was your first date?"

Orabella: " Oh my God, I thought he was kind of annoying. The connection that we had over the phone, was not there in person. I eventually told him that maybe we should just be friends."

B Posh: "So, how did you guys manage to fall in love?"

Orabella: "Well, we spent a lot of time together, and we became really close. Our friendship turned into being in love".

B Posh: "Tell me about how he proposed"

Orabella: "OMG, well he had dinner plans and we were supposed to go to a fancy place to eat in downtown Chicago. However, I just wasn't in the mood to get dressed up and go out. We were actually hungry, so we just decided to catch a quick bite and Longhorns. While waiting for our dinner to arrive at the table, Richard starting asking me questions about marriage. He said, "if I asked you to marry right now, would you say yes?" I said, "I guess so". So he handed me this rose, and inside the rose was a ring! I was super shocked and happy! But wait, I was made because we were at Longhorns restaurant! LOL I asked him why didn't he force me to go out to the fancy restaurant?! LOL Either way, I was happy!!

B Posh: "So tell me why you guys deserve to win this elopement package".

Orabella: "Well, as you know, we are actually already married.  However we were married in my pastors office at our church. Due to the fact that we are a military family, we had little to no time to plan! This was during the leaving Iraq transitioning to Afghanistan phase. He received orders several times and they kept being modified. Therefore, we decided that we would just go ahead, get married and have a big wedding celebration later. Well, 9 years and 3 kids later, no wedding ceremony, no reception and not one wedding photo to share with our 3 daughters. This makes me sad. We want to be able to share such a momentous occasion with our daughters.

B Posh: " You have 3 very beautiful daughters!

Orabella: "Thank you! They are our world. One of our daughters was diagnosed with autism. We dealt and learned a lot while on this journey with her. She has had lots of different types of therapy and I am proud to say that today she is verbal, super smart and progressing daily!

B Posh: "Well, this has been amazing! We are excited and cant wait to announce our winner in May!

Orabella: "Thank you so much for this opportunity"

Needless to say, Richard & Orabella's story touched our hearts and they are our first Elopement couple!!!!! So, meet Richard, Orabella, Kennedy, Grace and Gabby!!

The elopement ceremony will take place in June! We cannot wait to share the details!!
